Welcome to our little home in the country where you and your pets are treated like family, with respect & old-fashioned hospitality. We strive to support our community by helping keep veterinary preventative medicine affordable. We know the economy has been tough and it may have been difficult for some people to keep up with their pet’s basic needs like life-protecting vaccines and parasite protection for fleas/ticks/heartworms.
At Little Country Home Pet Vaccine clinic, we are a little different from other veterinary clinics. We are only open part-time hours, and we keep our focus on preventative medicine and basic wellness needs for pets. While we do not offer surgery, anesthesia, hospitalization or advanced diagnostics for sick pets, our narrow focus, reduced hours & location in the middle of the country, allows us to keep our overhead low which lets us to pass savings onto our clients.
Vaccine Clinic
We offer a reduced-cost vaccine clinic for dogs & cats 1-2 days a week with vet-mobile-truck type prices, but in a comfortable setting with exam rooms, a lobby and the ability for you to make a scheduled appointment that allows time to discuss needs, of your pet with our veterinarian. No waiting in long lines for hours, or trying to vaccinate your wiggly pup, or stressed-out kitty in a large, noisy box store. Instead, enjoy the picturesque, peaceful countryside outside our windows while in our quaint building as Dr. Bruening & our staff form a relationship with you & your pet. As Dr. Bruening says, "Our building may be a little ugly, but it will be the ugliest place you'll ever love!" Because it's quiet and we move at a slower pace, (and have lots & lots of treats!) most pets really seem to love their time with Dr. Bruening & our clinic located outside the small town of Winfield, Missouri.
*See below for other recommendations to make your pet’s visit and drive to the clinic more comfortable.
Wellness & Essential Health clinics:
Sometimes healthy pets need a little help to stay that way. That's where our wellness & Essential Health clinics come in. We do not offer emergency services or advanced medical resources for very sick or injured pets. But we can help with the little things, like ear infections, skin infections, small wounds, GI upset, limping, eye issues and more. We currently have limited resources to treat these issues. If our veterinarian feels your pet would be better served at a full service veterinary hospital, we will let you know as soon as possible. And we can make recommendations of where to go & who to see! If you would like to bring your pet for a wellness or Essential Healthy type appointment, please email us about your pet's situation at Littlecountryhomevet@gmail.com or call 636-566-0259 and leave a detailed message and a staff member will let you know if you should make an appointment with us, or with one of our colleagues at another local veterinary clinic.
Helping your pet enjoy Vet Visits!
Enjoy may be a strong word, but we can help you make veterinary visits more pleasant for your pet and that will also make them more enjoyable for you!!!! Click here to see our tips, especially for pets who are fearful of the vet. (link coming soon)
